On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, I developed together with Annett Stenzel and Claudia Christoffel the project FEMI(NI)ZID in the Freiraum of the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. The installations were accompanied by a programm of lectures, talks and screenings.

Every third day, a woman* in Germany dies at the hands of her (ex-)partner. That means a femi(ni)cide every third day: a murder of a woman* because of her gender. That's an average of 122 murders a year. 122 empty demonstration signs symbolize the loss and serve as a silent memorial to the women* who have lost their lives.
