I WILL SURVIVE is a body of work about coping with the aftermath of domestic violence. In the video, I sing Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive while gradually covering my body with adhesive plasters. The series also includes the Trostpflaster works and an antique hospital bench painted with the title. Trostpflaster is an ongoing project in which I continue applying plasters until the trauma of domestic violence has been overcome.
